SAFE AS CLINICS – Sunday River, Maine

WOMEN’S SPECIFIC: *TWO PART Intro to Avalanche Safety days with online lecture & yoga, on-snow training, outdoor debrief and fundraising raffle.

Women, ages 14 and older who are interested in snow and avalanche safety in and out of bounds who enjoy a good time for a good cause. Participants are asked to provide their own avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe, and backpack. Maximum of 24 participants. Prior snow safety education is not required.

***PLEASE NOTE: This is a two-part course. Participants are required to attend an online lecture via Zoom prior to the on-snow portion of the course. You are registering for the ON-SNOW PORTION that takes place SATURDAY, DECEMBER 5th 10am – 4pm PST.

ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED YOU WILL RECEIVE A FOLLOW UP EMAIL AT A LATER DATE ASKING WHICH ZOOM CLASS YOU WOULD LIKE TO TAKE. You will have several options to choose from for the live, online classroom portion, see options below.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 1ST Yoga online(optional): 8 am(PST) ZOOM: 9 am – 12 pm(PST)


FRIDAY, DECEMBER 4TH Yoga online(optional): 4pm(PST) ZOOM: 5pm – 8 pm(PST)


If you are unable to make either live zoom session we will offer a pre-recorded ZOOM: available starting December 1st at 1pm(PST)

COST $140 Includes online yoga, online Zoom classroom instruction, small group on-snow rescue training. A lift ticket will be provided for those that need one.

$110 for students that can provide a current transcript or student ID. Please scan either your transcript or student ID to [email protected] to have your discount approved. Offer valid to highschool and college students.

A portion of the proceeds go to local non-profits.
