Kate Moynihan

Kate is adjunct staff at Northern Vermont University in the Outdoor Education department and has been an outdoor educator for over 10 years.  Her outdoor career has brought her backcountry riding to Oregon, British Columbia, and Banff Canada; raft guiding on the Grand Canyon and numerous backcountry trips throughout New England.  Over the past few years her focus has been on wilderness medicine and has included certification as a Wilderness EMT, National Registry EMT, Wilderness First Responder instructor, a Ski Patroller, Mountain Bike Patroller and National Ski Patrol instructor.  Currently she is working towards her instructor certification with the American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education where she hopes to become the only female avalanche instructor in the Northeast.
